I feel that one of the most important aspects of music that is often overlooked, is that music should be fun. Because of this, I try to keep my lessons focused on material that really excites a student. I believe that its very important to introduce a student to a wide variety of music to help them identify what really inspires them. The beginning of my more formal teaching started in High School when a friend and I began a Guitar Club as an after-school program for all levels of guitarists to join. It was a mentoring, preforming, and learning group where we practiced covers of songs and traded technique. As a senior at the University of Tennessee, I've begun informally teaching friends with a passion to learn guitar.
