I was raised in a musical family. My father, brother, and sister all played guitar. I began playing drums in the school band at ten years old. At twelve I got my first drum set. At fourteen I began playing in a band and started playing shows. In college I played drums in four different bands playing shows all over the city. I write songs constantly and have performed hundreds of times as both a solo artist and with bands that I have formed. This book is great and gets you playing in no time while learning the fundamentals of music. For adults or more advanced students, I want to help guide the student in their interests. The student's level of technical ability will be assessed and exercises to improve technique will be stressed as well as learning scales, chords, and songs helping the student to increase their ability and repertoire.
