I do this by providing easily doable practice techniques and exercises that will advance their ability to perform the songs they are keen to learn, as they are more likely to continue with music if they are having fun when studying. I've also coached beginning songwriters with great results; one of my 10 year-old students wrote a peace-themed song that won multiple awards, including an award at the national level, in the PTA's Reflection competition. I am new to teaching but I have worked as an organizer and choir leader in my high school and college, giving me the experience I need to have an organized curriculum for new students that is interesting and actually impactful. I did five Brazilian tours (50+ shows) as Paul DiAnno’s (former Iron Maiden’s lead singer) official drummer, from 2009 to 2014.
