Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I was a teacher in the public schools, and I wanted to be able to give more one-on-one attention to students. I wanted to be able to teach in a way that uplifts students and makes them excited about music. I also wanted to be able to make students feel comfortable and have fun. I have a degree from Vandercook College of Music in Music Education.
