First, we'll talk about your goals - do you want to play at open mics? Do you want to learn jazz? Do you want to play something nice for your spouse? Next, I'll want to determine your experience level on the instrument and get a feel for your style to better tailor our lessons to you. This will likely be me asking you a few music questions and requesting that you play something for me. Read More

Because I have gained so much in terms of amazing experiences from playing, writing, recording and performing music, I want to pass that passion on to those who are interested in learning music, and an instrument, themselves. I am very plan-oriented, knowing that students learn differently and progress at their own pace. I strongly believe that everyone is very different. Learning styles and musical goals are very much a part of this. Some find reading from a book helps them, so for most students I begin by recommending "A Modern Method For Guitar" from the Berklee Press, however for others a book is not as helpful as listening to some music and watching someone play. It wasn't enough for me, though. I wanted to get the best possible music education. So, during my last year of high school, I applied to several music schools in Europe and the US. When Berklee accepted my application, I decided to go for it and moved to Boston. While I attended Berklee, I played in several local bands. I graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Writing Production. Read More
