Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. My teaching experience began while helping at the New Orleans String Project when my sisters were learning Viola. In my off time, I would assist the teachers. Later I began giving lessons through some members fo the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra to which I have played and excelled through all of the group's sinfonia, Philharmonia, and Symphony. My most recent teaching experience was offering lessons and string pedagogy through the Waldorf school of New Orleans and teaching at my private home studio. Read More

The most important things for any classical guitarist are: Mauro Giuliani’s right hand arpeggio studies, Matteo Carcassi’s Etudes, Fernando Sor’s etudes among exercises I’ve learned and created personally. Other great rescources are Scott Tennant’s Book “Pumping Nylon” and Pepe Romero’s book “La Guitarra”, which are about $20 a book. Read More

Concept teaching is the most effective for advancing the musicians development. Teaching specific details and then showing how they can be moved and manipulated for a greater concept theme will give the students confidence that they actually understand what is happening musically from plenty angles and the ability to maneuver through the music and instrument as seamless as possible. I have been involved with music since middle school, where I participated in marching band. I continued in marching band up to my junior year of college. In high school I began working with my church's worship team, first as a percussionist, then as an acoustic guitarist. I began training in basic music theory at this time as well. I do not work from a fixed set of books or lessons. My approach is alway different for each student and will depend on the age and time the student has to devote to the instrument.
