Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

The most important first step is to have a conversation about what the student's goals are. Together we can come up with a game plan to achieve these goals! For beginning students, we will start by working through a beginner's method book, but I will supplement with my own materials. I have been involved in music my entire life, starting in a percussion group and choir in elementary school. I started on the clarinet at the beginning of middle school. I taught myself how to play the clarinet amongst the other instruments I play with the help and guidance of college professors, band directors, and tricks I noticed along the way. I have been selected and performed in multiple honor bands across my time in middle and high school, including Troy University's honor band and All State. Read More

Later I will teach more advanced theory for intermediate students and start showing them how to put the knowledge together. For advanced students we will start transposing between different keys and scales and mixing scales together and eventually be able to circle through the circle of fifths the best we can.
