Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I will always encourage each student, because I believe that everybody has musical ability, and I like to keep competition to a minimum. Everybody has strengths and weaknesses, and it's important to acknowledge the student's strengths as often as possible! The weaknesses are just what we're there to work on. I've been teaching music on and off for almost 20 years I write my own songs and find this a good way to teach as well. I've had many great students, been in many great bands, never fame nor fortune but always fun and great music. My favorite moments are connecting to other people through music. Music is a language unto itself and the best music is a conversation. I began my music teaching journey back in 2012 after attending the University of Colorado Denver. I was pursuing a music degree and at the time I believed touring would be my main source of income. I use many different methods since I am of the opinion that all methods have their strengths and their weaknesses. For children I typically use the Suzuki method and suplement with exercises and outside repertoire to compensate for the weaknesses in the Suzuki method. I also use the Royal Conservatory method and try to teach its repertoire when the student is at an advance- beginner or intermediate level. Read More

Students don't learn if they don't feel motivated or enjoy what they are doing. Therefore, I make it a point to set an agenda in each lesson that starts and ends with something fun, and is also predictable so that students know intuitively how to go about their practicing. During each lesson, the student and I set realistic goals for practicing and, despite the popular saying that the more time you spend practicing, the more effective your practice is, I have learned from many students that each student practices and learns from practicing in their own way.
