Since then, I have been consistently teaching in a variety of settings, including my home studio, private music academies, online lessons, and piano courses for music majors. My number one goal is to help my students accomplish their musical dreams, whether that be a classical pianist, a pop singer, the front person for a rock band, write songs or compose music for film, or just sing their favorite song of all time, whatever it takes, I will make sure that we get to the musical destination. am a firm believer in adapting my teaching methods in order fit with each individual student. I think that all students have a genre or playing style that inspires them most, and I strive to find that style and to teach through it. I allow technical exercises and theory to come out of a specific style or genre, because I feel that this is the best way to keep students engaged and interested in the material. In short, I teach to the student and never force anyone to learn material or genres that do not inspire them musically. Uniquely, I have helped on movie sets to make actors "look" like musicians. I do train stunt-doubles for the accuracy of the filmed scenes. I have played on albums for studio work and have composed my own music, and support improvisation. Up to date, I have over 35 former students who have graduated with a bachelor's and/or master's degree in music education and/or music performance, former students currently enrolled in a university as a music major, and high school students getting ready to audition for All- State Orchestra, Jazz, and Band divisions AND college entrance auditions for in and out of state universities and conservatories.
