For piano beginning students, I usually start with the Alfred Book series. This is a really fun way for the piano students to grasp the fundamentals and learn how to independently move each finger at different times. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, including being able to read both staff and tab and have some basic playing technique , I will begin to introduce solo repertoire. For adult students, I like to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More
