Starting from my days of undergraduate school, I began to teach as an assistant in the department of music at the state university of New York at Stony Brook for a foundational music course. This experience was not only challenging, but exhilarating catapulting me to want to share the joys of music with others. In response, I started my own private music teaching business and contracted with some local music stores to teach introduction to piano and beginner to intermediate levels for guitar, bass guitar, and general music theory. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at their own pace. I try to make sure that fundamentals are always maintained and that the music we are covering in lessons is stimulating and challenging while still being enjoyable for the student so that they can develop musical expression along with a strong technical foundation. Music has held a major position in my life since I was very young. I began composing music before I was in school. I began taking piano lessons when I was four years old.
