Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I have been teaching private voice for five years, and I specialize in a multitude of styles, including musical theatre, legit, and pop/rock. Additionally, I have worked as a teaching assistant for Acting Through Song class at Shenandoah Conservatory, and I recently music directed a production of REEFER MADNESS. My passion for teaching begins with the students’ need for artistry. Beginning students will start with tone and basic theory studies from the Trevor Wye Series. We then go on to learning some easy standards. For more experienced students, you'll choose an etude book, study tone from Moyse's "De La Sonorite", and really hone your scales and arpeggios from Taffanel and Gaubert's 24 Daily Studies. I am a student at Old Dominion University with only 2 French classes to go to graduate. I was a first chair clarinetist in middle school. I am currently playing tenor and Alto saxophones,drums, flute, percussion, and singing through various projects. I am self taught on a very large variety of instruments such as violin, recorder, guitar, and cornet. My most unique instrument is the jaw harp of which I am a virtuoso. Read More

I've worked with students of all ages, from those just beginning their studies to graduate students majoring in trumpet at the collegiate level. As Instructor of Trumpet at the University of Michigan I worked with undergraduate and graduate trumpet majors in the classical performance program. As Graduate Student Instructor I worked with secondary and non-major undergraduate and graduate students, along with working with high school students in college preparatory courses such as the Michigan Youth Ensembles and MPulse Trumpet Institute.
