Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Typically in the first lesson, I assess the playing level of the student by asking them general questions about what they have done with music so far. From there it is easy for me to determine what to begin teaching first. For beginner students, I like to start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements book. If the student has graduated from the beginner book, then I can proceed to intermediate or advanced methods which will include a combination of studies in pedagogy, repertoire, composers, etudes, ensemble work, and technical studies.
