I encourage students to practice consistently, and to also enjoy learning. I teach various styles and most of my experience is with beginners to intermediate students. I began teaching private lessons full time in 2011. I know that when students have fun and see progress at every lesson, they are motivated to become better musicians. As a result, progress is quicker and my students retain what they have learned. There are moments that I look back and think how amazing is that students start from scratch and now they are able to create music on their favorite musical instrument. Hello! Ive been teaching piano for over 25 years. Genres are classical first, then jazz and r&b. Ive studied with teachers both from philly and florida from the best of the best. Ive played in the FAMU marching 100, FAMU jazz band, Concert Band, Collegiate Band, and sports games pep band. I also played in a rock band for gigs on the side.
