I have played in various orchestras and ensembles including the University of Puget Sound Symphony and the International Honor Orchestra in Vienna, Austria. I have focused on teaching adults and kids for the last 10 years. My diverse training in many styles of music has informed my teaching style. Creativity is our true nature. My lessons facilitate and nurture the true spirit of music from "outside of the box." Teaching songwriting is my favorite, but I can also teach basic intruments to beginners who are just getting started. I spent 4 decades writing songs and playing in bands. In the 2010s I had a radio program called "Jupiter's Jamboree" which ran live every Saturday night for 2 hours for 7 years. I utilized my recordings of my own original compositions and fused them with abstract sonic images to create a cohesive production. Read More

I began teaching private lessons when I was 18 years old. I have taught all ages of students at all levels. I have successfully taught students with ADHD. I adapt the lesson to the student to find how they will learn best. I encourage creativity and challenge students to try composing their own music. I have taught in one-on-one lessons, large group rehearsals, and everywhere in between. I started my teaching with a group of peers and professors while studying my undergraduate Music Education degree. We worked as a group to teach children ages six through 16 how to play violin/cello and perform as group.
