I have been a professional guitarist, composer, and instructor for the better part of a decade, and have years of extensive experience in performance, production, composition, and music theory. My teaching style revolves around guiding each student through the mental process of developing one's music skills, both in a technical and musical sense. I believe everyone is capable of becoming a fantastic violinist, as long as they are shown what to focus on and what to look out for in their own relationship with the violin. Often, students are thrown into the deep end and asked to swim. I am more concerned with teaching each of my students how to observe themselves so that they can make adjustments and improvements based on their own assessments of themselves, rather than just telling each student what to do. Creativity is our true nature. My lessons facilitate and nurture the true spirit of music from "outside of the box." Teaching songwriting is my favorite, but I can also teach basic intruments to beginners who are just getting started. I spent 4 decades writing songs and playing in bands. In the 2010s I had a radio program called "Jupiter's Jamboree" which ran live every Saturday night for 2 hours for 7 years.
