For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I am from the Columbus, Ohio region and am receiving my Bachelors in Music Education in May 2021 with my primary instrument being saxophone. I am extremely close to my family, living with my mom, grandpa, and three sisters. I enjoy being outside and reading in my free time. I started teaching at a small music store in Hollywood, Florida called The Banjo Shop. As the store specialized in Bluegrass music, I was hired to teach students the pop and rock songs being played at that time. I taught there for three years before relocating to North East Ohio. After taking some years off to raise a family I started teaching at GitterPicker String Factory in Twinsburg in 2005.
