I have been teaching for over 8 years and I have experience teaching in different settings, group classes, and one-on-one private lessons. I am a certified Suzuki violin teacher by the Suzuki Association of the Americas. I have experience working with children starting at 3 years old, teenagers, and adult people. At Juilliard, I have performed in Alice Tully Hall with the Juilliard Orchestra, the New Juilliard Ensemble, the AXIOM ensemble. In my free time, I participate in community outreach through benefit concerts and as a member of the United Nations Chamber Music Society, the United Nations charity chamber music series that raises money for the United Nations Refugee Fund. My passion is performing and teaching drums. Ever since I picked up a pair of drumsticks for the first time two decades ago, I knew from then on I wanted to make teaching and performing my career. I have been teaching privately for over six years now and have played over 1000 live shows. Some of the bigger venues and festivals I have performed at are Mopop fest in Detroit, Lollapalooza in Chicago, Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport, NAMM conference in Anaheim and many more. My teaching style allows students to go at their own pace. I will work to set realistic goals with them at each lesson and acknowledge accomplishments as these goals are met. I encourage the students to have a notebook with them during lessons so that we can document assignments, goals, progress, and accomplishments. I like to set goals for my students. I generally work out of lessons books, solo repertoire, and whatever else the student brings in. If the students have music from classes in school, I will also assist them with that. I try to keep the lesson light, and enjoyable!
