Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I believe that anyone can learn music! I understand that students learn at different paces and I accommodate for everyone. When I see a student have their "ah-ha!" moment it makes me feel that the student is really enjoying and understanding music and that is the most rewarding thing for me with teaching. My teaching experience dates back to my high school where I taught guitar classes to beginner students and did live translations English-Spanish in an International Jazz Seminar. After College I was an Academic Director in a private music school for several years where we made an academic program focused on contemporary music giving the students the technic and knowledge on an instrument to play any style the student wants. I have supplemented scales and technical exercises with rock music, church music, and Disney songs to keep each child engaged!
