As of now, I have a business degree with an emphasis on entertainment and hospitality and have been playing guitar professionally for 15 years and bass guitar for 12 years. Some of the things I do professionally range from studio production/recording sessions to live performances (either with my own band or other peoples' groups or bands) and touring. I'm very grateful and blessed to be able to experience everything that I have up to this point at my still young age and nothing makes me more happier than to also be able to share that joy, passion, and experience with other people in the hopes that it might change their lives as well. Instruments: Flute, Music
For beginning students who are children, I usually start with how to make a sound on the flute by practicing only the headjoint for the first week to help them develop the muscles in the lips and help to keep the aperture small. Once they feel confident with the headjoint, I would then teach them how to hold the flute properly and have a correct posture when playing. As soon as the student has progressed on these fundamentals, I will introduce them to the first notes on the flute which are typically B,A and G above the staff. Read More

It is a great joy for me to connect and commune with students in learning their chosen instrument they wish to learn to play. I have a B.S. from Antioch University. I place great value in their well being and helping them to learn to play their instrument. I come from a family of Concert level musicians. I began playing the saxophone when I was nine and have continued. Read More
Instruments: Double Bass, Music
For beginning students, we typically begin with Essential Elements while discovering fundamentals of the instrument and getting a handle on reading bass clef and rhythms. This of course varies on a student's previous experience or comfort with reading music. We progress from there into appropriate etudes that can be quite melodic and entertaining to practice and then beginning solo repertoire, and advance from there. I always encourage students to have a goal piece in mind that they would like to play, especially my adult students, so we can frame our goals around that and set up a plan of action as we move forward. Instruments: Piano, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass Guitar, Synthesizer, Euphonium, French Horn, Tuba, Music
Of course, everything depends on what you, the student, want to learn! For younger students that are just starting, I've found the Accent on Achievement books to be very helpful in developing the basics of playing. From there, Classically-focused players would learn solo repertoire, Jazz-focused players would learn standards and improvisation, and all the other genres would begin to narrow down their appropriate fields. Adults are certainly welcome as well and I'd love to help them learn whatever they are interested in. Read More
