I proceeded to direct worship choirs and bands at Carthage College for my four years at Carthage. I've attempted teaching family members growing up. It wasn't until I changed my major sophomore year of college to music that I gained my teaching experience. I took multiple method classes for woodwind, brass, string, and percussion instruments. I taught general music in a third grade classes for my Elementary Methods course. I apply the Alexander Technique to all ages and it is applied differently depending on the instrument and level the student is playing at. For many of my lessons I supply supplementary materials that match my student's interests, age, and level that they are playing at. I will supply the materials and the student will be expected to keep them in a three-ring binder.
