I'm a young teacher who loves working with students and instilling my passion of music in them. I have been involved in music since the age of 5, and received my Bachelors of Music Education degree from Western Carolina University in 2018. Through my experiences there, I was able to perform across the state of North Carolina, as well as tours in South Carolina, Florida, and take part in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2014. I thoroughly enjoy customizing each student's lesson according to their learning ability and make sure they excel and have fun. I utilize most of the time the Alfred Piano method both for school age and adults. When I feel the student is ready I supplement quite a lot with the Hanon exercises,Czerny and the Master Theory workbook(this works very well with the student who also desires to learn to play by ear as well.) For repertoire I emphasize classical pieces and also help the student with pop and holiday pieces;i.e- Schumann's Album for the Young, Beginning Bach minuets,Bach and Clementi sonatinas,etc. Read More

I use an integrated style of lesson that is custom-made to each individual student regarding his/her voice type and needs, as well as different areas of music language that need more studying, like theory, music notation, solfege, rhythm, basic piano technique, ear training. When a student is ready,subjects like stage presence and audition technique become part of our lessons.
