Hello! I am a multi-talented music teaching professional proficient in Violin/Viola/Piano. I completed my Bachelor and Masters of Music degree in Violin Performance from the Juilliard School and began my teaching career coaching pre-college students in various strings ensemble classes as a Teaching Assistant. Few distinguished highlights in my early career included debuting with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra at Woolsey Hall, as the winner of the 1999 Young Artist competition, performing with the Yale Philharmonic as a guest soloist, in part of the Young Rising Concert Artist Series. Every student learns at a different pace and many students learn differently. Music is an aural art form and I've found that many younger students haven't always heard a lot of music. I like to incorporate listening and appreciation in those cases. I like to encourage creativity and share ideas that show the student they can create music of their own. I like to see the student enjoy what they are doing and I like to point out their growth, especially when they feel frustrated. Read More

My teaching experiences stems back to my undergraduate career at the John J. Cali School of music. I began teaching and tutoring underclassmen in theory, piano and voice while also teaching dance classes in the community. After I graduated I continued teaching and gained an assistantship to continue voice lessons to undergraduate non-majors. I also was the assistant director for our musical theater revue. After I returned from my masters work I contued teaching as various private schools in the New Jersey area before being hired as an artist affiliate at Bucknell University in 2015. Read More

Henry is an incredibly experienced piano instructor in northern New Jersey, working with students of all ages and skill levels.Henry is an active member of two bands: one is a progressive rock group where he writes original compositions, and the second is a Beatles tribute band that regularly plays in the area. I have taught violin, music theory, chamber music, and repertoire throughout my career. Previous faculty positions include San Jose String Academy, Sierra Music Academy, Texas Christian University Preparatory Division Extended Education, and New Jersey Music School.
