I am a performing violinist, however I am most passionate about teaching and also playing chamber music. I began my musical studies playing the piano at age 7 and the violin at age 9. As a youth, I served as concertmaster of the South Bay Youth Symphony, Azusa Pacific Symphony Orchestra and Texas Christian University Symphony Orchestra. With the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, I participated in two European tours and had the honor of performing at Cite de la Musique in Paris, the Dvorak Hall in Prague, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig and Amsterdam's Concertgebouw. I always like to have the students first develop a strong interest in music right away - so I like to start off with something that specifically interest them - song, piece....ect. Once the student is able to feel the joy from playing, it makes the learning process feel much less cumbersome and much more enjoyment based. From here, I like to move at the appropriate pace of the student, incorporating technique, theory, performance, and improvisation into every lesson. Read More

I love to see my students progress and see how excited they are about what they have learned. I do love my beginner students because they see how music can be so much fun. What I do enjoy is after they have learned the basics of the piano I can finally teach them that song they love so much that probably got them to learn the piano in the first place. Read More

Since I want my students to have more joy, confidence, and advanced experiences from music. Most of my students are member in Orchestra ( Metropolitan New York Youth Orchestra, Carnegie Hall Youth Orchestra, Philadelphia Youth Orchestra). Read More

One of my goals as a teacher is to make sure my students learn one new thing every week! Whether it be a concept about reading notes on a staff or figuring out how to play there first chord. Each student progresses at a different pace so my method for teaching one student how to read notes depends on how much they can at a time. If a specific concept is more difficult for a certain student there are plenty of goals to be achieved in the journey of grasping that concept. Read More
