I always approach teaching from a student to student basis. I like to cater to an individuals interests while trying to strengthen areas they tend to lack or not focus on. I also like to let the student take their own pace, but of course firmly push them to push themselves. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Alfred's beginner method. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire in line with the students interests, encouraging a love of music of a multitude of different styles and genres.
