Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. This will depend on the level of the student and if they are in a band program in a school currently. I want to teach lessons as a supplement to what a student is learning in school, so I will work with the music and method book they already have. If the student is not in a band program, I would recommend starting with the Essential Elements band method. We will start with reading music, basic tone production, and good practice skills. In 2016, I received my Bachelor's Degree from the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan in Clarinet Performance and Master's Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2019. During my studies at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and University of Northern Iowa, I played in Northern Iowa Symphonic Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan, Wind Ensembles, different types of ensembles, and conducted Wind Orchestra and Clarinet Choir. I am willing to teach out of any books my students bring to me! However, I usually start wind students with the Standard of Excellence books, since that is what local elementary schools use. Younger piano students start in the "My First Piano" series of books, then graduate to the Piano Adventures series of books. The most important thing to do as a teacher is find the right balance between fun and learning. When I teach, I make sure that students are enjoying their time in the lessons, because music is supposed to be fun, not a chore.
