Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

There is no one method that fits every student. My methods involve a preliminary assessment of each students individual needs, goals and current level to determine the appropriate path we should embark on. While I do use various piano methods, such as Piano Adventures and Alfred's Basic Piano Course to guide beginning students along, I try to ensure that the course work is a side note to the primary musical goal of our weekly lesson, as well as the weekly homework. What drives my passion for teaching is the collaborative atmosphere and those "a-ha!" moments when a lightbulb goes off. Learning is all about the act of discovery, and I facilitate students in finding their natural love of music. I challenge students to approach problems from all angles to help them understand music on a deeper level. Recognizing and rewarding every small improvement helps the student gain confidence, which in the long run makes for better musicianship. Read More

From there I branched out, teaching others to ride and starting yet another brother on the piano as my very first piano student. I use an integrated style of lesson that is custom-made to each individual student regarding his/her voice type and needs, as well as different areas of music language that need more studying, like theory, music notation, solfege, rhythm, basic piano technique, ear training. When a student is ready,subjects like stage presence and audition technique become part of our lessons.
