Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Piano, Voice
My lessons are tailored to the individual student and his or her personality and goals. My approach involves proper use of the body position and weight to obtain maximum technique and sound. I emphasize areas that need to be developed, especially involving the use of the arm and wrist. I encourage relaxation and proper breathing so the pianist is prepared to meet technical challenges. Musicality is emphasized to the highest degree, and I teach students to make sense of the music on the page, instead of simply looking at notes. Read More

Growing up with a music teacher for a mom, I began playing piano, learning music theory, and sight-reading at age 5. After years of studying piano, I expanded my musical journey by picking up the trombone, bass, guitar, and drums by the age of 12. I am a passionate instructor who loves to watch students grow and develop. The majority of my teaching experience has been in the realm of sports and physical education, however, I have a deep love for music and it brings me joy to share my gifts with others. Read More

In my lessons, I always show them many different ways of practicing to help them understand that there is not only just one way of solving problems. I encourage them to analyze the causes underlying their technical challenges and also understand how the solution they come up with can fix the problem. Read More

My lesson styles are geared towards the end goals of the students. As not all students will have the desire to become professional musicians, the ultimate goal is to build lifelong lovers of the arts...and if the student decides that music is a career, then the lessons are geared accordingly. For younger children, the ultimate goal is that their love of the music and instrument will spark their desire for practice and further learning, but that they ENJOY music as an art and experience first.
