My lessons are tailored to the individual student and his or her personality and goals. My approach involves proper use of the body position and weight to obtain maximum technique and sound. I emphasize areas that need to be developed, especially involving the use of the arm and wrist. I encourage relaxation and proper breathing so the pianist is prepared to meet technical challenges. Growing up with a music teacher for a mom, I began playing piano, learning music theory, and sight-reading at age 5. After years of studying piano, I expanded my musical journey by picking up the trombone, bass, guitar, and drums by the age of 12. I am a passionate instructor who loves to watch students grow and develop. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, she moved to Cincinnati to continue her studies with a Graduate Incentive Award Scholarship. She completed with a Masters of Music as well as an Artist Diploma at University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music under Dr. Catharine Lees and Mr. Masao Kawasaki. At CCM she studied chamber music under Ariel Quartet and was a member of CCM Philharmonia and Concert Orchestra. She performed four solo recitals and two chamber recitals during her Master’s program.
