I'm a recent graduate from Moravian College, class of 2019 with a degree in Music. I've spend years performing in local bands before starting my degree. In college, I was the lead alto saxophone in the BIG BAND as well as Wind Ensemble. I've had experience playing around the work, participating in the Karel Velebný Summer Jazz Workshop in Frýdlant, Czech Republic. I slowly started picking up beginner flute and piano students and realized how much I loved teaching music.During my time at Millersville University I have taken multiple methods courses to help advance my teaching. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. To allow that to develop, I set realistic goals for my students so they can get feelings of accomplishment which will inspire them to learn more. Every student progresses at their own pace, so setting realistic goals is necessary so the student doesn't feel stuck or overwhelmed.
