I was graduated from China conservatory of music in 2015. I started to teach in 2011. After graduation, I was accepted by university of Idaho with fully scholarships and TA position. I started to teach private lesson, ensemble lesson, theory lesson and woodwind technique lesson. For beginning students, we will spend a good amount of the first few lessons in developing core fundamentals. Once we have a solid foundation, I will start to add in some exercises. I work out of many books to expose my students to different methods of playing. For more advanced students, I will work with them on developing more characteristic sounds. My teaching expereince dates back to before I graduated undergraduate school. Since I had a semester to wait for Commencement, I was afforded an opportunity to work as a Teacher assistant, in an Open Classroom Learning Environment. This immediately preceded a very rewarding Student Teaching experience in the rural southern state of North Carolina. I was as challenging an experience as I have ever had being that my travel mileage on some days was as much as 80 miles. Upon my return to New York, I was afforded an opportunity to teach Beginner Band Grades 4,5 and 6, per diem for one year. My teaching experience dates back to high school. I was a student leader in the marching band, serving as the woodwind captain for the marching band and the senior student conductor for the concert bands. With these positions, I was able to tutor peers and work on expanding my knowledge of teaching music.
