My teaching style is very regimented in the direction goal-setting and interests. Realistically setting goals is important for students of all abilities. Comparison from one student to the other is detrimental to the student's success as a musician, so I will tailor the progress to fit every need. Or even before begiining Band, if I find a student who is very well at reading Music, I will not hesitate to recommend that student for Band; sometimes as early as Grade 3.
