In our lessons we will focus on the fundamentals, then the music, and having a little fun at the end. Progress might be slow or we might be able to jump to more advanced music in the first month of meeting but I understand that every student is different and will progress at their own pace and I will do my best to help guide them. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! I try to meet my students at the crossover of challenging while keep them engaged and having fun. Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. I'm an enthusiastic and driven teacher who loves to help students realize their personal musical goals. In 2012, I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition from Trinity University and in 2014, I earned an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. I've performed a wide variety of music with everyone from orchestras to pop and folk bands throughout my life. I've also consistently written my own music and performed it in a variety of settings, including recently completing a national US tour of my original songs. Read More

I have multiple books to work from based on the age and skill level of the student. I work fundamentals with all levels and can teach topics from multiple angles. My music library is expanding and becoming more diverse so that I give work solos with all of my students.
