I have owned my own private practice since 2000 to provide mental health treatment, consultation and training to children and families. When it comes to beginning band students, I will typically use the Standards of Excellence book. But, depending on the students and their abilities, I will try Essential Elements, as well. For piano students, I will use Bastien Piano Basics, Fabor Piano Adventures or Alfred's Basic Piano, depending on the age group. I am passionate a motivated while also being able to teach all levels of saxophone and clarinet. I have both a Bachelor of Music from the University of Oregon and a Master of Music from the University of Wyoming in Saxophone Performance. I have played both saxophone and clarinet for over twenty years. I have taught privately and in group lessons at the novice, intermediate and collegiate levels.
