First off, thank you very much for considering me as your guitar teacher. My name is Aaron, I'm 32 years of age and have been playing guitar since I was 14. I've also come to love recording arts and achieved my certification in audio engineering back in 2008. If you're interested in getting a song written and recorded, I'm your guy! If you're new and interested in a fast track to being able to play multiple songs on guitar, I am also your guy! I am very much looking forward to meeting you and providing the best teaching experience possible.
My teaching experience dates back to my early 20s where I began teaching private guitar lessons part time while completing my college degree. This is something I'm extremely passionate about as an adult and would love to continue this journey. My main experience is with guitar but can also teach bass guitar, song writing (in real time or through a DAW), and synthesizer work (through a DAW). My other experience stems from the recording workshop in which I attended in 2008 and my constant learning and own song writing that I've been doing throughout my life.
I start by assessing my student's personality type so that I know which teaching style to use going forward. From there, I would gather information from the student regarding his or her difficulty level with the instrument and then from there, I would put together the appropriate materials for the lesson so that we have a plan to work from and an end goal in mind. I want to make my students feel as comfortable as possible but also to be able to push their abilities to the limit when need be. I will also keep track of progress throughout each lesson and lessons moving forward.
My teaching style will be blended into the lesson to help my students develop specific musical skills that they need to reach their goals and reduce the number of hours I then would have to teach them. If the student has nailed a lesson then we move onto the next level and or something more advanced. I will also be creating guitar lesson materials based on ways that are consistent with what they want to learn and achieve. Example - The student can pick a song and we can take it step by step if that is what they'd like to achieve. Thank you!
