We have had an awesome experience with Mr. Aaron. He is great with the kids and they enjoy learning from him.
We have been very pleased with Aaron thus far. He is patient and respectful with my son, yet has a good way of redirecting him to keep him focused on learning when he gets started talking (he's 6--has lots to say!). He is motivating and good at pacing learning to keep my son excited and engaged. His experience is evident--very good teacher.
Thoughtful and engaging instructor. Our daughter gets more excited each week.
Aaron is talented, unique, and gentle
Aaron is a talented and gentle soul. My daughter is so comfortable learning from him. He is a wonderful instructor offering AAA+ lessons. We lucked out.
Aaron has been extremely patient and creative in supporting my son's special needs. His lessons provide a perfect balance of structured teaching and time to simply engage in the joy of playing. My son really looks forward to his lessons every week & is learning so much!
My daughter, Valarie is one of the original members of the Enrichment Center Percussion Ensemble under the guidance of Aaron. He patiently worked with Valarie as well as the other five members individually and as a group to produce music that has been shared and enjoyed locally as well as nationally. He has the ability to seek out the strengths of each student while building confidence. Through his teachings, not only had Valarie learned how to produce and enjoy music, but also responsibility and so many life skills for everyday living.
We met Aaron 12 years ago when our son, Jonathan began at the Enrichment Center. Jonathan had been taking music lesson for 8 years, but had never played with a group. Aaron taught him how to play with a group. But let me tell you about the group – the Enrichment Center Percussion Ensemble (ECPE). The ECPE consists of 6 individuals with differing abilities. Aaron had a creative system that he used to teach music to those who could not read music. With the God given talents and abilities that the ECPE had, Aaron was able to create a unique genre of music. Aaron’s gentle hard working nature enabled the group to produce several CDs, perform at numerous locations throughout Forsyth County as well as in various parts of North Carolina, and perform at several venues in New York.
Aaron is an Amazing teacher and person. So patient and encouraging!! I have learned so much in such a short time. I am so lucky to take lessons with him. I can not reccomend him enough as a brilliant teacher!!!
Aaron is one of the best music instructors we've ever known. Our son started taking violin and fiddle lessons at age 2-1/2 (he's had four instructors), he then added piano and subsequently drums when he was 8 years old (he's now 9) so we've had a lot of experience with different teachers. Aaron has the patience of Job and an incredibly calm demeanor that put our son at ease immediately. He continually gives positive feedback, yet has a knack for gently correcting students' technique or redirecting when needed. He's great at reading his students' body language and can sense when they are ready to move forward, feeling overwhelmed, needing a bit of extra instruction, or simply needing to switch gears. If there's any doubt, he does a great job checking in with them. He also taught my son music theory as a separate class and has a unique, hands-on approach that kept him interested, rather than just doing drills and dry reading in workbooks. I guess the best compliment we can give is that my husband enjoyed the few times that he could take my son to lessons so much that he decided to take lessons from Aaron as well! From a child's perspective, when I asked our son what he liked about taking classes from Aaron, he said, "He's really kind. He doesn't get mad or frustrated when you mess up. He's just really a nice guy."
I learned so much from my time taking drum lessons with Aaron. He’s so incredibly smart, intuitive, enthusiastic, and passionate about music. Aaron was patient with my learning style and physical limitations and creates a safe and comfortable space to create and learn. I highly recommend him for students of all ages and abilities.
Best Teacher! Aaron was my drums teacher for two years when i was in Winston-Salem, NC. I was a beginner when i started my classes with him and was very happy to had him as my teacher. He was so friendly and explained all the concepts very clearly. The material he shared after every class was perfect and helped me a lot to improve myself.
Aaron is a wonderful teacher! I’ve been taking drum lessons from him for almost 2 years and he’s extremely patient, kind, and professional. I would recommend him to anyone.
