Graduated ''Sayat Nova'' music school (Yereven,Armenia)
Overview:
I'm a very passionate and motivated instructor.I love to work with students regardless of their age and abilities. I share my love of music with them and make them understand, as well as appreciate the value of the music world. I graduated from professional music school in Yerevan, Armenia. I continued my musical education in ''Romanos Melikyan'' music college and got BM in music. My master degree as a piano instructor and concertmaster I received from ''Komitas'' conservatory in Yerevan,Armenia.
EXPERIENCE
My teaching experience dates back to my college days, more than FORTY FIVE years, including THIRTY plus years of teaching in the USA.I worked at several music schools and have also given private lessons in Queens. New York and Providence, Rhode Island.I have found that a combination of classical and modern music can go hand in hand in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice, gaining passion for the instrument. My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals.
METHODS USED
For young beginning students most of the time I like to use John Thompson's ''Easiest piano course'' as a practicing book, for their hands position and finger velocity I use ''A Dozen a Day'' and also I introduce them to music notation, spelling and writing with various Theory books . For older and adult beginners I choose different books. I have my own customized methods to teach different age groups and personalities. The most important thing is that a music lesson should be fun, not a burden.
LESSON STYLE
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing how your student progress, develop a passion and knowledge for music . I like to set realistic goals for each individual student who can progress at his or her own pace.It is very important for them to master basic knowledge of theory, technique, and sight reading in music. I like them to have a deceiplene in music; practice regularly, steady attendance.ask questions immediately when something is not clear, pay attention to fingering, count out loud to get the rhythm right.

We love our lessons with Ms.Aida. She has been very patient with my son. He is nine and just started learning the piano, which he loves. He loves his lessons and has never once been reluctant to go since we started. Looking forward to seeing him progress.
