Overview:
When I was six I decided that I wanted to play the piano. Since I was very young, I always enjoyed listening to my mother play Classical Music, that was the moment when I developed my passion for playing the piano. I come from a very musical and artistic family. I am most passionate about Classical Music, and have always wanted to share my passion to others. My mother has not only been the root of my inspiration but also always been my instructor. I have dedicated most of my life to playing piano and someday, I hope I can be a great Classical Music concert pianist, that is why that in two years, I have decided to go back to Germany, where I found my second inspiration for Classical Music and pursue my Arts degree in Piano Performance.
EXPERIENCE
My experience in teaching has been mainly focused on voluntary work, in teaching close friends, family and friends. I have always wanted to teach the joys of Classical Music to all ages. I have encouraged those of my teaching, to always have a consistency and regular practice so that with patience and time, they will see not only improvement but will also developed a passion for the instrument. I think that the key to becoming a piano virtuoso is having fun while learning, being patient, determined, persistent, and consistent.
METHODS USED
When I started my piano lessons, I worked mostly with the Hanon exercises. Since this book has always been essential material to my learning, I will use this book to teach the beginning students and show them that exercises can also be fun and enjoyable to play, as I find them to be. As the student begins to dominate the basics of piano, I will introduce simple and easy pieces of Classical Music that will not only be fundamental to the beginner student's learning but also of the students liking; this way the learning will also be enjoyable and fun.
LESSON STYLE
In teaching an instrument, it is important that the student shows interest in playing an instrument, this way, when learning, a student can develop a passion for music. There is nothing more rewarding, then seeing a person develop a passion for Classical Music. One of the most important things in learning Classical Music is to be constant. Classical Music not only challenges your ability to play the piano, but it takes time to master it and teaches you the power of transmitting emotions through music. I believe that if one wants to become a piano virtuoso and master the classical piano, one must take the time to understand the joy and beauty of Classical Music in order to be able to transmit that beauty. I believe in acknowledging accomplishments, taking the time to practice and I also believe in challenging students to become better. Finding what composers inspires the students is very important because this makes them eager to learn.
