I am a passionate and motivated instructor who loves to help students see their full potential. I am a songwriter, singer, and musician. I am a graduate of Boston University. I am a church musician. I have sung and played for many venues and weddings. I am enthusiastic and creative. I work with others to show their best as well. I like to fins how the student works and then break it down to help them and teach their interests and their needs. I believe that each person and musician is different and will also learn ink a unique way.
I have experience teaching many different genres and many different ages. I have taught students from many places and enjoy challenging them to reach their musical abilities. I encourage students in their abilities and have a yearly recital to show their talents to their family. I want my students to feel good about their accomplishments. Where there is much practice, there is much success! I am looking for dedicated and excited students to challenge!I am very excited to help others learn and fine tune their passions.
For beginning students I have worked with Hal Leonard and Bastein. Solo repetoire and Theory books may become part of their lessons as they progress. For advanced and adults, I have a beginner level or an advanced level. I try to find what they are interested in and allow advanced students to make one choice on their own and I may choose something for them to be challenged... Students who are being "coached" for a small amount of time may need to focus on their own repetoire for an audition-- in which case I will need the music send to me via PDF/mp3 for the extended work with the student's choice. Students I feel are ready will learn techniques in ear training, and chord chart readings...etc... depending on the sessions they decide to choose.
Students I work with will have technique, theory, ear training, or rote learning in my class. Students may also have a choice in repetoire as I get to know their style and genre.... Overall, students will be taught by me in their own learning styles. I will differentiate for each student as is needed. Some will need me to work with them by showing them, some through helping them read their music at their own pace. Some students will go faster than others and some of will appreciate it if I slow things down to help them.
Ms. Aimee is a great instructor. My daughter started voice lessons last year with her, and she loves every minute. She genuinely cares about her students and strives to help them reach their full potential.
Awesome instructor! Aimee is very patient and encouraging. My child has come leaps and bounds on piano since we started lessons here. Highly recommend!
We love Ms Aimee. She is so patient and always willing to help whenever we need!
Ms. Aimee is such a patient and flexible instructor. My experience with her has been very mind opening and lots of fun. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn how to appreciate music. Her style of teaching creates a safe space for learning without judgement. She’s left me with skills I will continue to use in the future and I will always be forever grateful to her for that!
