Bachelor Degree: Alejandro Humboldt University, other: Carabobo Conservatory of Music
I has been immersed in the wonderful world of music since 2009. I started my studies at the Conservatorium of Music of Carabobo, where I learned about music theory, harmony and history of music. There I began to fall in love with sounds, especially the sounds of bowed string instruments and started to learn Viola and Violin. Thus developing different kind of musical works, both classical and cultural, I had the opportunity to perform and be part of several Symphonic Orchestras and groups to play different types of repertoire and musical genre.
My teaching experience has been mostly for being part of different kind of music schools, academies, home tutoring and private teacher at high schools for the past 5 years, thanks to this I met and taugh students of all ages. Always trying to encourage my students to love music trough their instrument, no matter what kind of genre, that way they feel more motivated to practice and improve. Also, I like to add different kind of music to make lessons more dynamic and encourage my students to bring their favorites songs.
Depending on students age and ability, I use different kind of methods. For students that are new to music I usually start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, this book is really good to start to learn about music and the instrument, and then Suzuki method for repertoire. For more advanced students I like to set learning steps, that way my students can achieve goals quickly and feel more engaging to practice. Among my teaching methods, I have practical exercises to help with correct posture, rhythm and intonation.
Every student have their own learning curve, I'm patience and usually explain in different ways if needed. Set small goals make students feel that they are progressing and motivate them to keep learning. I believe music is an essential part of education, thats why on my lessons I encourage my students to bring and learn their favorite music along with different kind of exercises to help with rhythm and intonation. It's important that my students enjoy every lesson and develop a passion for learn the art behind each note.
