Bachelor's of Music Education from Manhattanville College
Alexandria is a classically trained singer and pianist, and have several years of private teaching experiene. She welcomes students of all ages and skill level. Her teaching philosophy is that each student deserves the opportunity to become the best musician through lessons tailored to their specific learning style.
I have performed with several different choirs throughout the past decade. My favorite performance venues include Carnegie Hall, New Jersey Perfoming Arts Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, as well as a tour through Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
Throughout my studies of music education I was exposed to several different pedogies. I have incorporated parts of these pedogies to develop my own teaching style. My method includes focusing on the student's specific needs and learning style to foster the best environment for learning.
I believe in keeping the lessons very interactive by making sure that it is not just the student playing/singing. I keep the lesson flowing from one activity, or song, to the next by using a common goal throughout the lesson. I make a goal for each lesson known to the student so that the student can feel successful and accomplished at the end of every lesson.
