Hi, I am someone who always have the desire to live by making music, I love this career and since I first started grabbing my first Instrument, I knew that this is what I wanted, I've been teaching since I started to study in college, I've had all kind of students, kids from 7 to 12 years old, teenagers and even adults, the Idea of teaching and helping people to achieve their goals in the music world is something that makes me happy, I always focus teaching instruments based on the music style that best fits your interest, I would like to be your mentor, I can instruct you about music theory, reading music sheets, composition and ear training but on top of all those aspects I want you to achieve your personal goal which is learn to how to play your instrument or get into a more advance level of playing!
I first started teaching how to play guitar and giving music lessons when I began to go to college, I used to teach as a part time job while I was studying, when I've graduated I switched from part time to full time, I've worked in several music institutions and I'd also given private classes, nowadays I devote this by doing more private classes in students homes and online, maybe soon I'll have my own studio to teach where I can bring my students into a more comfortable environment with more teaching tools for the learning process.
I always incorporate music theory into my lessons but it depends more of what kind of student are you? What kind of music do you want to play? What level of playing do you want to achieve, depending on your answers I will create an approach that It's going to be the most convenient for you, not everybody wants to play the same style of music, however, I have my approaches to teach, books, songs, exercises but my first impression is to get to know you so you can tell me what is your goal.
I won't be teaching you something that you're not interested to learn.
Setting up goals to students at the beginning is a way to keep them motivated during lessons, by breaking down their goals into smaller pieces, It becomes more achievable for the students, I follow up a lesson plan depending on the students knowledge and level, everybody is different and for that I always incorporate lessons that goes with the kind of music they inspire yo play, I will bring composition activities, ear training activities and music theory activities too, there's so much to cover but these lessons are important because they will bring confidence and ability to make their interpretations when students want to learn a song,
