I grew up in Los Angeles and later relocated to the east coast to pursue my music degree. I live in Amherst, Massachusetts where I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced vocal students via Facetime and Zoom as well as in person lessons in various locations. In my free time I love to travel. I have often traveled to perform in places such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House, and Carnegie Hall, but I also enjoy getting lost across the world just for fun! When I'm home, I love to spend my time outdoors whether it's on a hike, at the beach, or exploring new parts of town.
My love for singing started when I was eight years old. I grew up singing in the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus which gave me much experience as a working musician starting at age eleven. I sang alongside notable alumnus Billie Eilish, as well as with Gustavo Dudamel, the LA Phil, and the LA Master Chorale. I am completing my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst this year and plan to continue my studies of voice and vocal pedagogy in my graduate studies.
My priority with my students is always personal and vocal health and wellness. I am a trauma informed and holistic voice coach, which means that I will always strive to meet your needs; not only as a vocalist but as an individual artist. I started as a classical singer, however I teach classical, jazz, pop, musical theater, and more. I am always willing to research new techniques that you may want to explore as well. I am an advocate for my students and I want to help you reach your musical goals, no matter your niche. I will tailor our lessons to your vocal needs in order to empower you to feel confident in your voice. We will cover topics such as vocal technique, warm-up and cool down exercises, vocal repertoire, stage presence, music literacy, practice techniques, and more.
I love teaching because I get to help students not only deepen their relationship with music but also with themselves and their own vocal abilities. I always start with a voice consultation where we examine your current vocal abilities and strengths, talk about your relationship with your voice as an instrument, and dive deep into your musical goals. We will talk about which vocal techniques and exercises will be right for you and also pick out some repertoire that represents you. We will also speak further about performing goals and prepare you for potential public performances and auditions.
