BM, Westminster Choir College, Voice Performance
I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves music and is willing to share my love for music. In 2017, I graduated from Westminster Choir College with a Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance. As part of my college experience, I was able to participate in several performances, as member of the Symphonic Choir, with orchestras in the United States, such as: the NY Philarmonic, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the St. Louis Orchestra, conducted by recognized orquestra conductor such as, Yannick Neze-Séguin, Pablo Her as-Casado and others. Also, had the honor to performed numerous solo recitals in Quito- Ecuador. In 2018, had the honor to performed at NYC as part of the Festival conducted by the NYC Bar Association.
My teaching experience started in my junior year of college in Quito- Ecuador. During the summer of 2015, I did a seminar on YogaVoice to singers of different levels at "Fundacion Armonia." I was able to worked with several students and help them fix some technical problems related to their singing. Since that day, I started my private studio. I give price voice lessons in my studio. It involves different levels of vocal technique knowledge. I have also being able to couch and give advices in several master classes to professional singers in Ecuador.
The first two things that I teach in my studio is posture and breathing. I analyze the posture of the singer and find several yoga postures that can help the student to relax some tension and to be more comfortable. I help students to be more aware of how the breath works in their bodies by using several repeating breath exercises and yoga posture. My vocal technique is based on YogaVoice, meaning that I used Yoga principles combined with Vocal Technique exeecises to sing more organic and to achieve an authentic relaxed voice.
Nothing is more rewarding that seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. It is really important that each student progress individually and gradually from their own prospective. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments help a fuel a studner desire to progress and makes students eager to learn. By trying to find our what inspired the students, I am able to combined my technique to their wants and needs. I am able to connect with my students by respect and professionalism.
