My facination with teaching began in highschool where I worked with several of my peers and continued into college where I studied music and education and studied classical guitar. In college I had the opprotunity to work in a variety of classroom and one on one settings as part of my course work. I enjoyed maintaining a schedule of private lessons where I worked with students in a variety of musical styles. I believe in helping a student define and reach their goals to grow into the players the wish to become.

I believe in enforcing the fundamentals of theory and technique to provide an understanding of physicial aspect of creating sound and the reasoning behind the music being played. For any student, I seek music that is meaningful to them as well as challanging to them. I believe in working with a student to define their goals and to help them achieve them.
