I am a firm believer in appropriate fundamentals are the key to stronger and healthier playing skills. In my lessons, I will encourage many types of fundamentals to round-out students playing abilities at the level which is most appropriate at the time. I work by the "Not good, Not bad, But better" philosophy. I will always focus on what the student needs and the best way for me to streamline their learning to achieve their playing objectives. I focus on what is important to make the student as successful as possible at the moment.
In my lessons, I will encourage the student to work at their own pace, but making sure they fulfill the objectives as we move along. I want my student to be as comfortable as possible while pushing them to succeed simultaneously. I am a detail-oriented teacher who thoroughly enjoys seeing my students succeed and enjoy their musical journey. My ultimate goal is to give my students tools for a better life through music education. If I can use music to teach a greater life lesson, then my goals as an educator will be achieved.
