I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I graduated high school in 2004 and went on with a full scholarship at Blinn Junior College in Brenham, TX. I played first trumpet part all throughout middle and high school and even in college. Also in college I participated in the Jazz band there throughout my 2 years. I also won numerous awards throughout my musical education for solo and ensemble performances and region band competitions with making state band one year. It was a great honor. Late into highschool I was accepted at the DCI CADETS for 3rd trumpet part. This is the second best drum corp (at the time) in the world out of over a dozen different division 1 corps. I unfortunately was not able to perform with them, however it was a great honor just being able to be accepted and to practice with them for 4 months in New Jersey. I adore music and find it a previlage to be able to communicate with music my emotions to my students and people around the world. I'm looking forward to having a full docket of students! Thank you for choosing me to be your lesson teacher!

I use a variety of methods customed to every student that interacts with me.-One method is to practice drills targeting your weaknesses in the way you play.-Another method is a piece of music that targets your weaknesses.-Another method is leading by an example of my playing.-Another method is to guide you with my explanations of how you should be playing the music.-I will usually spend my own money to purchase more tools needed for my lessons. Booklets and such.-I have an arsenal of tools to use because I adapt to every situation with every individual student.-
I like to first access the student and their proficiency level. Once I discover your weak points I focus on them and drill them to perfection. Once we have those down. Of course it takes much practice on your part at home alone, then we can move onto actual music and integrating all the skills you learned naturally into harmonious music.--There is no set way to my teaching style because every student is different and must be addressed with their own distinct methods and styles of learning. -I do not teach in the way schools teach their subjects such as history or math. -I learn the student before I can teach the student based off how they live, interact, and learn.
