I am an instructor who will focus on technique and musicality and make lessons very engaging and fun. I have a Master's Degree in Music from Duquesne University where I served as a concertmaster and a Bachelor's Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University where I was contracted musician with Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra.
I have been teaching privately since 2003. In 2005 I Was hired as a violin instructor at Southeastern Louisiana Community Music School where I taught for 5 years. After my Graduate studies I accepted a teaching position at Duquesne University City Music Center.
I devise a unique program for each individual student. I do not beleive in using the same method for every student because of the differences in the ways students digest the information. I do offer performing opportunities with piano accompaniment as well as master classes to interested students on monthly basis
I do a lot of demonstrations and use analogies from the realm of physics to describe the violin technique. I do focus on Musicality and musical phrasing.
