Hello, my Name is Aristides, I am a passionate performer, instructor, and musician. I love all genres, and love a challenge. I have performed Latin music, swing, Pop, Classical, and various other genres. I graduated in 2016 from the University of central Florida with a (BM) Bachelors in performance. I've performed in the Ocean Center (Convention Center in Daytona),, and in various venues. I also believe that the student needs to be engaged, and challenged in their musicality by calling them to a higher technique within their abilities to perform. As the instructor, it would be my job to continue to give challenging music for them to develop their minds to make better judgements, and decisions within their lives through music.
My teaching experience is composed of a combination of all my past professors. I have taken what works and does not work for the last ten years. Mr. Scarlatti taught me about accuracy and technique, Mr. Waidelich, who taught me to understand my musical needs, and Musicality, Mr. Hacker who challenged me in my reading, and performance, and Mr. Almeida who taught me to listen, to be consistent and the best at all I do wether difficult or easy. I am a great listener, who listens to the students needs and abilities. I believe that we all go through a metamorphosis, a transformation in our musicianship. Music is meant to be enjoyed not shoved through. I also believe that the student needs to be engaged, and challenged in their musicality by calling them to a higher technique within their abilities to perform. As the instructor, it would be my job to continue to give challenging music for them to develop their minds to make better judgements, and decisions within their lives through music.
My methods, practice, and philosophies is as follows: Practice starts with a routine in listening, sound and technique. Music supposed to be fun and enlightening, filled with accomplishments. I believe that when the student sees his advancement or growth they want to do even better. For the beginner, we would need to evaluate their needs working through the Arbans Complete Conservatory Method. This book has everything they need, as well as for the advance, and proficient students. My philosophy is that every one can learn, and grow and change, with good direction and instruction.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your student, change before your eyes. To develop a passion to create music, and to help others. Short term and long term goals are essentials for progress, and creativity. To put together different people from all walks of life and have them create beautiful music, collaborating with one another in an orchestra, or a band. As a musician I can not just teach notes, but the language of emotion and communication through music. I also believe that the student needs to be engaged, and challenged in their musicality by calling them to a higher technique within their abilities to perform. As the instructor, it would be my job to continue to give challenging music for them to develop their minds to make better judgements, and decisions within their lives through music.
