“I am a professional musician and violin, cello, and viola teacher with over 25 years of experience in Europe and the United States. I teach students of all ages and at various stages of their development as musicians, including helping them prepare for University auditions, study for their own enjoyment or prepare to join a local community string ensemble or orchestra. My teaching philosophy is that of encouraging and inspiring my students to do their personal best in a creative, positive and enriching learning environment. My experiences as a musical performer include numerous concerts in Italy, Spain, Russia, Turkey, Canada, and the United States.”
EXPERIENCE
I am a professional musician and violin, cello, and viola teacher with over 25 years of experience in Europe and the United States.
I am including some background information about my training and professional experiences: I graduated from the University of Tirana in 1992 with a Bachelor Degree in Music, where I majored in Violin, Viola Performance and Music Education. Shortly after completing my studies, I performed as a principal second and first violin section player in the University of Tirana Symphony Orchestra. Other professional achievements include that of violin player of RT Symphony Orchestra, Tirana, Albania, violin player and founding member of the 'Scanderbeg" Chamber Strings, Tirana, Albania, and viola player for Wheaton Symphony Orchestra, Wheaton, Illinois. My performance experiences include numerous concerts in Italy, Spain, Russia, Turkey, Canada, and the United States.
METHODS USED
1-Modern method -(Suzuki, Essential Elements, Orchestra Expressions, etc)
2-Traditional method- (Rodionov, Sevcik, Kayser, Kreutzer, Wohlfart, Dont, etc)
3-Fiddle, Bluegrass.
LESSON STYLE
My teaching philosophy is that of encouraging and inspiring my students to do their personal best in a creative, positive and enriching learning environment. I teach students of all ages using various teaching materials, focusing on the individual student’s learning style. I enjoy teaching students at various stages in their development whether they are preparing for University auditions, studying for their own enjoyment or preparing to join a local community string ensemble or orchestra.
