Overview:
Sharing music with my students is my greatest passion. I have been playing music since I was nine years old. Music has provided me with many valuable lessons and opportunities of which I instill on my students. I am a Trombonist, Guitarist, Composer and Arranger with a BFA in Jazz Performance from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City. Some of my experiences as a professional musician include touring Europe with the JMI World Orchestra in 2017, performing at Carnegie Hall, The Apollo Theater, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola and many other venues through New York City, as well as many years of teaching, both privately and in groups.
EXPERIENCE
My teaching experience started once I began taking music lessons myself. I was alway very excited to share what I learned with my friends. I have been teaching professionally for five years, having had several students taking lessons for Trombone, Guitar, Piano, Music Theory and Composition. I have also taught group brass lessons as a teaching artist for the New York Pops' "Kids on Stage" program as well as the Corona Music Project. I have experience teaching students of all ages, from young children learning and instrument for the first time, to more experienced musicians looking to expand their musical horizons.
METHODS USED
I am a strong advocate in fusing together practice and performance. I personally have had teachers that focused too much on technical studies and theory, and not enough time on incorporating those skills into performance; which is the main reason why many people have a desire to learn a musical instrument. In my lessons, I focus on developing skills that are essential to my student's overall musical development. These skills include music theory, ear training, rhythmic analysis, technique, and finally, applying all those skills into a performing setting.
LESSON STYLE
As a teacher, it is essential to understand that your student's goals. My number one priority as a teacher is guiding my students in order to help them achieve those goals. I create curriculums that are unique to each of my students, designed in order for them to excel at their own aspirations. In our lessons we will cover techniques for playing the instrument, music theory, reading music, ear training, but most importantly, applying these skills into practice while playing your instrument. My students learn to play there favorite songs and I also encourage them to write their own music.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
