BS Liberal Studies, Music, Philosophy- University of the Arts, Philadelphia Middle Tennessee State Master of Arts - University of North Carolina, Greensboro
Overview:
I have been a musical performer for over 40 years and I bring the richness of that experience to others who share my passion for bringing beauty into the world with their music. Music is not merely something one does to pass the time or to make a few extra bucks on the weekends, it is a way of life. It set the spirit free and allows one to find their true creative potential. If that resonates with you, I'd be the guy to call.
EXPERIENCE
Forty plus years on the road and in the studios has taught me masny things. The importance of a solid technical foundation, the flexibility necessary to play many styles, the ability to get along with other musicians, how to survive as an artist.
METHODS USED
There are three phases of learning an art. Imitation, Assimilation, and Innovation. My method is specific to each student according to where they are in this progression toward mastery of their instrument.
LESSON STYLE
I exclusively use a positive approach toward teaching, affirming a student's abilities and potential. Of course, music is work that requires dedication and perseverance, but at all times it should be fun and engaging.
